What happens if I cross-register in my final semester before commencement?

Answer

At Babson: Seniors in their last semester are strongly discouraged from cross-registering in their final semester. If the student does want to cross-register, s/he needs to be aware that the grading deadlines at the host college may not line up with the Babson grading deadline. If the Babson Registrar’s Office does not receive the grade for the course the student cross-registered for by 4:30 PM the Tuesday before commencement then the student's name will show in the Commencement Program with the May graduates, but honors will not be designated and a diploma will not be given at the ceremony. The student will receive a diploma upon completion of all degree requirements, will be ranked with all graduates once all grades are received, and will be awarded honors if applicable.

At Olin: You risk not being able to get your diploma. Grading deadlines vary across the campuses and we cannot guarantee that your grade will be available before your ceremony.

At Wellesley: You risk not being able to graduate on time. Grading deadlines vary across the campuses and we cannot guarantee that your grade will be available before your ceremony.
