BOW Community Events: Spring 2022 (Archive)

April 21, 22, 23, 2022: Storying Our Selves

This spring, Jon Adler (Olin) and Beth Wynstra (Babson) are teaching their course Constructing and Performing the Self for the third time.  The course blends the science of identity development with the theater of solo performances.  Students read the scientific literature and then use those insights to write, rehearse, and perform monologues about key moments in their lives.  The show, Storying Our Selves, is mounted as a fully-staged play, with professional lighting design.  It is always a moving, hilarious, poignant production.  And it’s FREE to all members of the BOW community!  This year, for the first time, we have scheduled a Friday matinee (April 22 at 2pm) to better enable staff and faculty of the BOW colleges to attend without having to return to campus at night.  You won’t want to miss it!  (While tix are free, you have to reserve them.  We have always sold out every performance, so reservations are required.)  Reserve tix here: https://web.ovationtix.com/trs/pr/1097674
